3D Action RPG

Work Highlights

  • Worked for 2 years in UE4 on a 3rd person perspective Action RPG. Wrote Blueprint scripts for gameplay systems, Editor Utility widget and python for content creation automation, and C++ for skill trees, items, and save system.

  • Implemented npc interactions, User Widgets, async level streaming, night and day lighting scenario swapping, and a Tetris style drag and drop inventory.

  • Implemented several UI systems including a Skill Tree, a Tetris Style drag and drop inventory, a regular 2D grid inventory system,

  • Optimized for Mobile and iOS.

  • Built a stealth system utilizing Unreal’s AI sound and sight perception. Also made patrols and takedowns.

  • Did a lot of debugging through Visual Studio, STAT console commands in the editor, as well as using Unreal Insights.

Project Summary

The game had a lot of different role playing systems both inside and outside of combat. My work included a lot of UI systems.
